Seetha Chandrashekhar, based in Dallas, USA, has been learning music since the age of eight and has won several accolades in school and inter-Collegiate competitions in Classical Carnatic Music. Since moving to USA in 1997, Seetha has been performing regularly at the Dallas Hindu temple on all major occasions including Nadopasana, Thyagaraja , Annamacharya and Purandara Dasa Aradhana programs.
Seetha came under the tutelage of Chitravina Ravikiran in 2001. Since then he has taught her several great works of various carnatic composers and several rare masterpieces of Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi, apart from voice culture training, techniques of improvisation, concert presentation etc. Ravikiran encouraged her to take advantage of his tele-teaching programme, which has worked for her wonderfully.
